Safety

All the products we use are FDA approved, cosmetic grade.  The face paints I use are also hypoallergenic. The glitter is all cosmetic grade ultrafine milled, not made of glass or metal, and not craft glitter which can damage the cornea if it gets in the eyes.

Be very careful to never use acrylic craft paint on the body. It is not safe!!  Neither is Craft Glitter!

Some face paints are not really safe either, if the package says, do not use around the eyes, nose, or mouth, I would not use it on my face at all!!

I make all my own henna fresh, using organic henna powder from a reputable source,  organic fresh squeezed lemon juice, sugar, organic lavender and cajeput essential oils.  I roll all my own cones with food grade cellophane. I also sell those if ever anyone wants to buy some for the aspiring artist in their lives.  $10 per 1 ounce tube.

Warning I never use black Henna - So-called "black henna" may contain the "coal tar" color p-phenylenediamine, also known as PPD, which is only permitted for use as a hair dye. In some cases, the so-called "black henna" consists only of hair dye, which the artist mixes straight from the package and applies to the customer's skin. http://www.fda.gov/Cosmetics/ProductsIngredients/Products/ucm108569.htm

Covid has thrown us all for a loop.  We have always used very clean procedures but now are even cleaner with our processes. We don't share sponges or brushes without sanitizing in between. We spray down and sanitize any surfaces other children have touched in between paintings.

Note:

A  Booking fee/ deposit may be needed to secure your date. During our busy season May-November, a 50% booking fee may be retained  and owed if a gig is cancelled less than a month from the event date.   The artists save that date for your event and refuse other work- so they lose a lot if you cancel.
